What our guests have to say:

VAfam says:

"Our family has been vacationing in TN for more than 10 years. This was our first experience at Sandy Ridge and it was by far the best experience we have ever had! The cabin is wonderful! Not only is it huge, it is spotless! They take great care of their property. It is beautifully decorated, rustic yet sophisticated. It has high end finishes and luxurious linens. My family felt right at home from the time we arrived. Our son enjoyed the theater room while my husband and I enjoyed the porch swing looking out over the mountains. The location feels remote, but it is actually very convenient to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Dandridge is a very quaint, sleepy town. We rented a pontoon from a marina just minutes up the road. The service was wonderful and we enjoyed the day on the lake. The owner was so nice and easy to deal with. I would recommend this cabin to anyone! We look forward to more visits to Sandy Ridge!!" (2013)

TKHM says:

"Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sandy Ridge Cabin. The home is immaculate, well equipped, and as beautiful as portrayed. We were impressed with the size and cleanliness of the home. Robert was extremely accommodating and helpful before, during, and after our stay.

We loved the time spent playing pool and watching movies in the theatre room. The views from the front porch were incredible! We got to watch a storm roll in across the mountains which was beautiful. We also rented a pontoon boat just a few minutes from the house and spent a fun day on the lake!

We would highly recommend this beautiful home and hope to return for another relaxing vacation! Maybe next time we can stay longer! Thank you to Robert and his family for sharing with us!" (2013)

Momo says:

"We had a wonderful time on our recent trip to Tennessee. We loved everything about the cabin - the setting was idyllic, it was in great condition, and had a lot of amenities. It looked exactly like the pictures we saw on the website. We had a lot of fun in the theatre/game room especially with the billiards table. The bedrooms were quite comfortable. The kitchen/eating area was a large, open space that was great for entertaining. We also made use of the outdoor grill which was a nice amenity. We took advantage of being so close to Lake Douglas and rented a pontoon boat - highly recommended. It's close enough for an easy day trip to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Another fun nearby attraction is the Bush Bean Museum. We would definitely rent this cabin again." (2013)

JW Pyatte says:

"My family visits the Dandridge area a lot and are so excited to have found this cabin. It is absolutely beautiful, close to everything and is family friendly. We look forward to our next stay!" (2013)

Amanda says:

"This is by far the best rental property we have ever rented! We have stayed all over Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg and have never stayed anywhere this nice!! It is amazing! The kitchen is huge and has everything you need. We had children ages 11 to 16 and 3 adults and there was more than enough room for everyone! The cabin/home felt some welcoming & comfortable that I only left once for about 2 hrs within 4 days. The owners were so polite and very helpful! We will return soon. Loved it!!" (2012)

Cody says:

"I'm not even sure where to start. As a fellow cabin rental owner in Gatlinburg i have been visiting the area a lot. we had a bigger group this trip and wanted to change up the scenery. We accomplished that and more after staying here. we had 8 in our group and felt there was enough room to fit plenty more. the pictures just do not do justice for what you are about to walk into. This cabin is HUGE, beautiful, and accommodating. i feel we spent more time on the porch and patio then we did in the inside. the view is so real it looks fake, the location is awesome being away from it all but still being in driving distance to everything like gatlinburg, pigeon forge and douglas lake. the inside of the cabin has everything you need to relax and enjoy your vacation. the basement was a huge hit with a pool table, arcade golf, and the giant big screen theater room with super comfy chairs. the master bedroom is very secluded to the rest of the cabin giving you lots of privacy to the rest of the family or group which is nice. all in all i felt like i was staying at someones personal vacation home vs. a rental property. it was nicely decorated and just an amazing cabin and it was an amazing vacation. Thank you so much for letting us stay and hope to come back again." (2012)

Judy says:

"The setting was amazing - pastoral with views of the lake and mountains! What more could one ask for! And the cabin was beautifully decorated to enhance peacefulness, joy, and togetherness. This cabin and setting are top-notch for a family get-together! We are so grateful for such an amazing place to reconnect with family." (2012)

Rich Wright says:

"This home is even better than the pictures make it appear...if you are looking for a place to relax which is close to the action but far enough away to allow you to breath, this is your place. There really is not anything we would suggest to change it - perfect for us in every way. Each year we find a home to rent for a few days to 'rest' after a long year - generally our selections have been in Hilton Head or another beach location. This year, we chose something closer to home, and we were not disappointed. Robert and his family have a terrific home with every amenity needed to enjoy a restful stay. The Master Suite is stunning and the other bedrooms very comfortable. The theater room and pool table were terrific. The kitchen and dining room are breathtaking and have every item needed to cook meals, etc. I cannot recommend this home more! The pictures are exactly what you should expect - and I would actually say the pictures don't even do this place justice. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!" (2012)

Tonya and Jim say:

"This home far exceeded our expectations based on the pictures alone...which was shocking considering how amazing the pictures were! The porch and views were breathtaking - forcing busy people to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The oversized dining room table was one of our favorite features. Everyone in our multi-family party was able to eat together which was a priority. The media/game room in the basement was key for kids and husbands:) and gave everyone enough space to spread out when needed. The main floor layout was more open than we originally expected which was a pleasant surprise when managing a lot of stuff, including baby gear. I'm not sure if it was mentioned in the property description, but a crib and changing table were also available for use and appreciated! I'm borderline OCD when it comes to cleanliness and germs (and especially when my children are involved), and this house passed with flying colors! The only disappointment was the weather - too warm to roast marshmallows:( We would love to see the view in the must be amazing! We look forward to returning for our next family reunion. Thank you, Thank you Thank you for offering a first class property in this area:)" (2011)

Jay says:

"Our daughter attends Carson-Newman College in Jefferson City, TN. We originally chose this cabin because it was less than 20 minutes away from the school and would accommodate our large group. However, when we arrived we found the actual cabin to be much more incredible than the photos online. It boasts a large gathering space due to its open floor plan and awesome front porch. The cabin is also equipped with top of the line amenities and beautifully decorated. The property is clean and well maintained. The owner was easy to contact and quick to respond. We highly recommend this cabin and have already scheduled two more visits." (2011)

WRG says:

"Everything was perfect and really could not ask for anything better. Very modern cabin tucked away in the hills with fabulous views. Nice open floorplan with large bedrooms and huge game room downstairs. My three kids played for hours outside and when the sun went down could come inside and have the whole downstairs to themselves. Owner communicated very well and was always wanting to do more to make your stay as comfortable as possible. You could not ask for a better location either. Very short drive to the interstate or take the beautiful back roads over to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Looking forward to staying here again in the future!" (2011)

Family of Five says:

"Stunning cabin, we felt like we were home! We enjoyed it all: the rooms were large, well decorated, comfortable and immaculate. The location was easy to find, away from all the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to the cities sights. The front porch was so inviting, you didn't even want to go back inside. We roasted smores at night, the kids spent much time on the front porch swing, and we all enjoyed watching the neighbor's horses which can be seen right out our windows. This owner was so quick to respond, accommodating and helpful.I've already recommended it to friends and I highly recommend it to you too!" (2011)

Celisa says:

“Me and my family really enjoyed the cabin alot. We loved the theater room in the basement. The master bath is very large and gorgeous. The whole Cabin is amazing with alot of room for a small family or large family. The owners are very nice and accomodating. I would recommend this cabin to any and everyone. Me and my family prepared a very large breakfast on Saturday morning and had a great time. The cabin has everything you need including cookware, dishes and silverware. There are also extra linens if needed.” (2010)

Tara says:

"My family of 10 spent Christmas Eve & Christmas Day (2010) at the cabin. As soon as my family entered the door, they were all very impressed with the cabin (the "WOW's" were non-stop!). The open floor plan is great for the little ones. On Christmas Day, more family members arrived, and we were still very comfortable. The cabin is very easy to locate, but FEELS like you're secluded in the mountains. We were blessed with a white Christmas (which was gorgeous!), and all vehicles made it down the drive with ease. The kids (and adults) loved making s'mores in the fire-pit and watching for Santa off of the HUGE front porch. I would recommend this cabin to anyone!" (2010)

Roger, Gary, Marilyn, and Pat say:

"We really enjoyed the time we spent at your Sandy Ridge Cabin. Everything was more than expected. The cabin was very nicely decorated and had everything we needed to prepare a full Thanksgiving Dinner. Everyone that came for dinner had nothing but praise for how nice the cabin is furnished and decorated. We only regret that we only had 3 days and not more. I really like the fact that the price is inclusive of taxes and everything. Most other places have the rate plus tax, cleaning and sometime other fees. Also a lot of places more than double their rates for the holidays and require 4 nights or more, but we feel that the rates are very reasonable and less than expected for a holiday stay." (2010)

Theresa P. says:

"We were so happy to be there! It is an exceptional place, well maintained, well appointed, and very clean. The beauty of the setting made our week there very relaxing for my husband, who job is very demanding, and also for me. The Owner was very interested in making sure that our stay was the best and I appreciated his efforts. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to any friend or relative, and already have, as a matter of fact. The location is convenient. It is a peaceful setting, with great views, near the boat ramps at Douglas Lake, and yet close enough to get to the local attractions in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg in about 25 min-- yet, Far from the Maddening Crowd, I guess one would say, not in distance, but in tranquility." (2010)

C. Phillips says:

"We've stayed in the cabin a few times now, and it never fails to be the perfect getaway from our hectic Atlanta lifestyle! My wife and our two children joined my mom, brother and his family for a extended weekend in the mountains and we had an incredible time. The entire cabin is really above and beyond what is expected in a rental. Not only is it spacious, super clean, and beautifully decorated, but it is well equipped and very comfortable. Whoever decided to put the HUGE covered porch across the entire front of the house is brilliant and I think it might be a candidate for the Guinness Book of World Records for largest porch on a single family dwelling! We had a great time using the home theater, the fire stove for marshmallows, the kitchen was a joy to cook-in, and it was a perfect getaway for our family. We spent a day at Dollywood, and the rest of our time at the cabin, thanks so much for opening your home to us. It was a pleasure to visit, and we will be back again sometime!" (2010)

Jason R. says:

"The cabin was perfect! It is close enough to Pigeon Forge for shopping and a short drive for me and the guys to take a hike in the Smokies up Alum Cave Trail to Mt. LeConte for some camping and backpacking. The mountains in front of the house were covered in snow, and the ladies were able to see where we were on Mt. LeConte from the front porch even though we were at over 6000 feet elevation. There are enough restaurants close by for any taste-BBQ, Chinese, Japanese, and some great burgers. The theatre room, plasmas, and fire pit sealed the deal for me while my fiance' loved the dining area, kitchen, and master bath. :) We had a great time! I can't wait for our next trip up to enjoy some lake fun and good times on that front porch. Thank you Knights!" (2010)

Trisha C. says:

"My husband & I had an amazing time staying at the Sandy Ridge Cabin. The views were breathtaking from the huge front porch. It's a nice place to get away and relax while enjoying the beautiful mountains that surround the cabin. The Knight's were such a wonderful couple to allow us to stay at their place and we would highly recommend this to others as we will be visiting there again soon!" (2010)

Christina H. says:

"My family and I were here this past spring and I couldn't have been more pleased with this home! The cabin is spacious enough to accommodate a large group, but small enough to radiate a cozy feel. The front porch, a personal favorite, provides an incredible view and the surrounding area is just peaceful. The property was clean and well-maintained, inside and out, and the owners were very helpful and friendly. Dandridge clearly has a country, small-town atmosphere, which was the perfect get-a-way location for us big-city folks. Enjoy!" (2010)

Brian M. says:

" I have been staying and vacationing in the Smokey Mountain area for the last 10+ years.  This place is by far my new #1.  Here are just a few reasons why;

1. Cost: I have paid much more and gotten much less!

2. Location: I enjoy the atmosphere of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg when I am out and about shopping and seeing the attractions but I don’t enjoy it once I’ve gotten back to my cabin.  I am looking for a place to relax with peace and quite.  Not hearing some drunk fool screaming out Watch This! To date that has been my biggest downfall with vacations to this area.  Its beautiful and well worth the travel time but it always felt like someone was invading my personal space!  Until now that is!  This place is QUITE and PEACEFUL!  No noise unless I chose it.  Views of the mountains are amazing and just a very short drive to all the attractions.  I also found downtown Dandridge to be very welcoming almost like stepping back in time.

3. Its Clean!  I have MAJOR OCD and cant stand to stay anywhere that is not clean!  This place was wonderful!

4. Service: Spoke directly with the owner and received Top Notch Service!" (2010)

Melissa V. says:

"Sandy Ridge Cabin is a beautiful, relaxing place to get away. Two of my friends and I visited there for a vacation one weekend. The scenery is breathtaking, and the cabin is very stylish, roomy, and comfortable. Also, the cabin is extremely clean and well-kept. It was a wonderful vacation, and I would definitely visit again. " (2009)

Anna S. says:

"Our stay at the Sandy Ridge Cabin was absolutely wonderful. It was so nice to be able to drink a cup of coffee on the front porch during the morning hours looking out at the mountains. The cabin is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It was very warm and inviting! I would highly reccomend staying here to all of my friends and family." (2009)

Kirk B. says:

"We loved the spacious rooms, the surround sound theater, and the convenience of shopping in Pidgeon Forge, Sevierville, and Gatlinburg.  But our favorite thing is that it had absolutely the most breathtaking view of the Smokies.  The lake in the foreground and the fall colors of the mountains were beautiful.  We can't wait to go back!"
